The UOG Society of Emeritus Professors & Retired Scholars (SEPRS) conducted its annual election of officers at its spring general membership meeting held at Emeritus Hall on campus on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.  The unanimously elected new officers for the 2023-2024 term are (From left to right):  Dr. Kenneth Carriveau (Secretary-Treasurer), Dr. Lawrence Kasperbauer (Vice President), and Dr. Hiro Kurashina (President).

The SEPRS Scholarship for AY2023-2024

(Please note that SEPRS Scholarship Application for AY2022-2023 is already closed.)

Application for the SEPRS Scholarship (AY2023-2024) will open in May, 2023.

Eligible applicants may obtain application packets online at the UOG Financial Office’s website, http://virtualtour.fostersfarm.net/financial-aid/scholarships after the official announcement to be made in early January, 2023. 

SEPRS Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The SEPRS Scholarship eligibility criteria are:

1. The applicant must be a registered full-time University of Guam undergraduate or graduate student and may hold any citizenship
2. The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
3. All applicants must submit at least one letter of recommendation
4. The applicant must write an essay describing academic and personal goals, and explaining how the SEPRS Scholarship will be helpful for achieving these goals (300-500 words).  

The application deadline will be in late August 2023 at the UOG Financial Aid Office. The exact date will be announced by the UOG Financial Aid Office at a later date.

The SEPRS Scholarship Committee Members include SEPRS President Larry Kasperbauer, SEPRS Vice President Hiro Kurashina, SEPRS Secretary Kathryn Wood, SEPRS Treasurer Mark Heath, Professor Emerita Rebecca Stephenson, Professor Emerita Lou Klitzkie, Professor Emeritus Robert Sajnovsky, and Professor Emeritus George Wall.
